A beautiful dark oxidsied copper statue of the great yogi known as Jetsun Milarepa. The base is hollow to allow the statue to be filled with mantras and consecrated substances. Milarepa is well known for his spontaneous Songs of Realisation known as Dohas. He was the student of Marpa the translator and became the root guru of Gampopa, the founder of the Kagyu monastic tradition.

A great rupa of Dorje Bernagchen (The Black Cloak two armed Mahakala). It is finished in dark oxidised copper and the face is hand painted and enriched with gold. The skulls in the diadem are inlaid with coral and turquoise. A very beautiful understated rupa with lovely attention to detail. This two armed form is the personal protector of the Karmapas. He is also recognised as the wrathful manifestation of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
