This rare quality thangka displays the 35 Buddhas, which are revered in texts such as Sutra of the Three Heaps . This Mahayana sutra describes a powerful practice of purification by confession and making prostrations and thus is considered a superior means of stopping rebirth in the lower realms. It is often used as part of the Nyung-Ne fasting practice. It is incredibly difficult to source thangkas of this quality, so this is a unique opportunity to aquire a superior sacred work of art.
