A stunning rug of rare quality. Based on a traditional Tibetan design but with a very contemporary feel. The wool comes from sheep reared at an altitude of up to 17,000 feet above sea level. Tibetan highland sheep produce a characteristic thick fleece that has a high tensile strength and is rich in lanolin. The high lanolin content gives a silky sheen and keeps the wool soft and supple, it also acts as an anti-staining agent. Carpets made of this wool will mellow beautifully and last for generations.
