Tibetans have a long tradition of presenting a kata or khatag as a symbol of
pure intention and devotion. They are usually offered to important
Lamas, sacred images and holy places prior to requesting a spiritual
blessing or the receiving of an initiation.
The katas we offer come in a variety of
sizes and five different colours. Each of the colours represent one of the Five Buddha Families. They are typically adorned with auspicious symbols and mantras and can be made
from the finest silks or man made fabrics.
