A beautiful dark oxidised copper statue of Saraswati.
According to the hindu tradition, Saraswati or Sarasvati is the wife of Lord Brahma and possesses the powers of speech, wisdom and learning. In Tibetan she is known as Yang Chenmo. The name Sara-swati in Sanskrit means something like "she [becoming] of the stream" [of good]. In Vajrayana Buddhism she is also seen as the consort of Manjushri and is considered to be the peaceful form of Palden Lhamo.
