A rare nephrite jade Milarepa statue. This is a hand carved one off piece that you will not find in any other store. Stone statues of Tibetan deities and lamas are particularly hard to source. The jade material was selected from Canada and then shipped to Thailand where it was carved by hand.

Milarepa was famous for his spontaneous songs of realisation. During his 12 years of strict retreat he subsisted on nettle tea, leading his skin to turn green, hence the green colour he is often depicted as having in paintings and sculpture.
