Product Code:
TANGAU23
Description
A traditional silver and copper traveling gau with auspicious symbols. It has a window to view a small gilded copper statue of an unknown deity. A single piece of turquoise remains in the headress and gilt remains on the front of the body. The deity is attached to a cushioned backrest by copper wire and also sits on a cushion to allow easy viewing in the window. This is an unusual piece because gaus are rarely discovered with their original contents. The statue may actually pre-date the gau. A collectible piece from a bygone age.
