Availability:: Currently Unavailable

A very fine hand crafted iron phurba amulet and practice support from Tibet. Each piece is individually hand carved and can take a considerable amount of man hours to complete. It is extremely difficult to carve pieces of this size in such fine detail, so these are truly wearable works of sacred art. They are slightly larger in size than the other iron Phurba pendants in our inventory, which allows finer detail to be added. For example, you will notice that they are crafted from a much darker iron and additional flames have been engraved on the blade. The earrings are also larger and the overall size is well proportioned. These are not just amulets that can be worn but are equally valid as travel size ritual supports.

The three sided blade is held in the mouth of the mythical sea creature known as a Makara and represents the power to transform the "three poisons" or kleshas into wisdom. The three wrathful deity heads at the apex represent the three kayas and inwardly represent the three channels of the body.

length approx 7.6 cms
width approx 1.5 cms
Material: Iron
Origin: Tibet (made by Tibetan artisans in Tibet and not Nepal or India)

Please note that these pieces are individually crafted. This means each phurba will have its own unique character. Slight variations in detail should be expected.

Tip: If you notice rust appearing on any iron ritual item, simply use a toothbrush (used for this purpose only) to gently apply olive oil to the affected areas and then remove any residue with a soft cloth. For more stubborn areas, rubbing with wire wool is perfect.
