RARE HIMALAYAN NATURAL BODHISEED MALA
Our Price:
These Nepalese Bodhiseed 'eye' beads are amongst the rarest and most difficult to source. Each seed has the formation of a natural eye. We are told that they only grow in one region of Nepal. Unlike other Bodhiseed malas in the marketplace, these beads have not been shaped or dyed. Seeds that are completely natural and untreated are considered to be the very best for practice. The smallest uniform seeds are the most sought after and command the highest prices. On average a fully developed seed will usually grow to at least 12 mm (hole to hole), which is why the smaller seeds (10 mm and less) are scarce and very sought after.
With regular use Bodhiseed will turn darker and develop a wonderful usage patina. They are considered to be the most appropriate mala to use for all types of Vajrayana practice.
This mala is comprised of 108 beads plus the Guru bead. The natural colour of the seed may vary slightly.
Only one size currently available. Beads are measured from hole to hole.
Colour of tassle may vary.
