A rare complete tantric mala or Trengwa comprised of 108 antique bone beads. The mala includes 108 disc shaped bone beads and three additional round bone bead dividers. All of the bone beads present on this mala were aquired together and none of the 108 beads are missing. The guru bead is comprised of an antique round bone bead and a beautiful antique turquoise bead, polished smooth from being worn and handling. On the tassle are two antique coral beads (7mm). There is a leather strung antique silver counter with all 10 counting beads present. This is also inlaid with antique coral on both sides and has been worn smooth from countless years of handling.

The previous owner aquired the bone beads in Tibet some years ago and was told by a Lama that they were crafted from human femur bone as apposed to human cranium. It is hard to say if this is true or not, so we are simply offering them as bone beads. In this condition and the fact that all are present is rare enough in itself. They have a wonderful usage patina and certainly feel very different from many other bone beads we have handled. They have been re-strung for ease of use as the original cord was no longer practical.
