Description
SOLD!
An old Bodhiseed hand mala strung with turquoise, pema raka (carnelian) and a hand carved conch shell guru bead. The Bodhiseeds are worn smooth from many millions of mantra recitations. 27 seeds are strung on this hand mala because 27 x 4 = 108, which is helpful when counting prostrations. The carnelian is certainly 100 to 300 years old. The turquoise is 100 years old or more. The carved conch or chank shell bead is probably not very old but it is a hard to find bead.
Origin: Tibet/Himalayas
Bodhiseed = width 9 mm diameter 12 mm
27 Bodhiseed beads plus one turquoise divider and carnelian and conch guru bead
Re-strung on strong braided five coloured cord.
Turquoise bead = 20 mm x 16 mm
