These great looking hand-knotted woolen Tiger pelts are made by Tibetan artisans in Nepal. This is our smallest size rug and they are therefore also popular as meditation seats. Tibetans believe that meditating on a tiger rug will protect the meditator from negative influences (both seen and unseen) and enhance the power of ones meditation practice. Tibetan rugs are also renowned for their quality and longevity and are avidly collected in the world of Asian art.
We have also found that this size is popular with children, as they can have their own little protector in their room.

Each zabuton is packed with 2 kilos of hi-density recron fibre that is securely tufted into a cotton inner cover, forming a permanent inner cushion. It is finished with a tight fitting zippered outer cover that is made from a durable 100% cotton drill. This in turn is tufted in place to give the classic zabuton shape. This zabuton will last for years as you can both refill the inner cushion and if the cover becomes soiled it can be removed and washed or replaced by simply cutting the center tuft.
