A great Rupa of Dorje Bernagchen (The Black Cloak two armed Mahakala). It is finished in dark oxidised copper. The skulls in the diadem are inlaid with coral and turquoise. A very beautiful understated rupa with lovely attention to detail. This two armed form is particularly associated with being the personal protector of the Karmapas. He is also recognised as the wrathful manifestation of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. A powerful understated piece.
