A superb iron Khadga or blazing wisdom sword with scorpion handle. It can be hung in your home or placed on a shrine to attract the energies of wisdom and clarity, the qualities which cut through delusion and ignorance - the primary obstacles to enlightenment. The scorpion handled sword is wielded by the protector Begtse Chen (protector of the Hayagriva Cycle) and other wrathful Dharmapalas. The blade is decorated with flames in the style of Derge iron work from East Tibet. The scorpion itself displays incredible detail and is certainly a masterful example.

Hand crafted by a Tibetan family who have been making ritual items for more than 50 years.

Tip: If rust appears on any of your ritual objects made from iron then gently apply olive oil with a toothbrush (used only for this purpose) and dry with a soft dry cloth.

This piece has some age, however, it is unlikely to be earlier than mid 20th C.
