An antique drawn glass seven layer Venetian chevron from the African trade. A classic glass bead of rare size. Introduced to Africa by Dutch merchants, the chevron bead became highly valued for personal adornment.

Origin: Venice, Italy
16th Century
approx 41 mm x 40 mm
perforation size = 7.5 mm
Condition: Very good with some weathering
