Yogis and yoginis in ancient India traditionally lived in wild forests and jungles, bathing in streams and waterfalls. Mud, grains, flour and ash were often used to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. To these would be added the Ayurvedic herbs and oils which helped keep the skin in good condition and nourished the life force energy - ojas - which they built up through their yogic practices. To a traditional herbal flour base, Wild Earth has added salt and honey to create a moisturing, aromatic body scrub which gently cleans, exfoliates and polishes the skin without the need for soap. This can be a preparatory step before other body treatments or a beauty treatment unto itself. Good for Yogis too!
Honey & Salt Body Scrub can be used in the shower or bath. Rub the whole body or target rough spots (feet, knees, elbows) to exfoliate the skin, making it smooth, soft and wonderfully fragranced. Avoid face, delicate areas, and any cuts or abrasions. Leave on the skin for a few minutes to maximize benefits, then rinse with warm water.
Filled with rich Ayurvedic herbs traditionally used by yogis, Wild Earth’s Yogi and Yogini Body Scrubs inspire inner journeys of reverie through the simple act of bathing with awareness. May you bathe in the delight of your own pure awareness!
