A stunning dark oxidised copper statue of Green Tara inlaid with coral and turquoise cabachons. This is a large elegant piece that sits on a double lotus base. Always ready to leap into action, Green Tara is also seen as the Buddha of enlightened activity. Rescuing beings from samsara and protecting against the eight great fears, she is also known as the swift saviouress. This statues has been created by a master statue maker using the lost wax process. Statues of this quality are extremely rare.

A rare quality fully gilded statue of Buddha Amitabha. The face has been hand painted and is also enriched with gold. This supreme rupa sits on a rare double lotus base and is finished to a standard rarely seen. The base is hollow to allow for consecration. A small jewel sits in the forehead to symbolise the perfectly awakened state of a Buddha.

A lovely antique bronze statue of a seated Buddha from Java (Indonesia). This was aquired from an Asian art dealer in London and has been appraised to be 12th to 14th Century. Displays a fine patina commensurate with great age.
Condition: Very good with some weathering and minor loss to the lotus base.

A very fine quality partially gilded statue of Green Tara. Hand crafted using the ancient Lost Wax process. The face is hand painted using paint enriched with gold.We look at hundreds of statues of Green Tara every year and only a handful make it onto our website. This is a superior quality majestic rupa and amongst the best we have seen. In Tibet, Tara is known as "Dölma" (Sgrol-ma), or "She Who Saves." She represents fearless compassion in action.
