A wonderful antique Tibetan melong amulet that displays the Nine Palaces, Eight Trigrams and 12 animals of the zodiac. The suspension ring at the apex is a newer addition to this piece, which was added at some point to allow it to be worn.
Melong amulets are believed to ward off negativity including protection from unfavourable planetary alignments.
