A lovely antique miniature Vajarayana painting that would be known in Mongolia as a " burhany zurag". This piece represents Vajrapani and the Bodhisattva Manjushri is seated above his head. Pieces such as this were typically worn in a gau as a protective amulet or kept inside a small traveling shrine.

Mineral Pigments on Cloth
Condition: Very good with minor weathering.
Age: 19th Century
