In recent years they have become one of the most sought after Himalayan beads in and outside of Asia. The Pema Raka on this necklace range from melon shaped to long fusiform beads. There are also 6 round beads that are particularly desirable. Towards the top of the necklace are 2 antique turquoise beads that are worn smooth from centuries of wearing on the body and a beautiful ancient Blue chalecedony bead. Very Rare Natural Rock Crystal Sphere
Very Rare Natural Rock Crystal Sphere
Our Price: £850.00

Rare!

A spectacular looking natural rock crystal sphere. It is almost impossible to find crystal spheres without cloudiness or inclusions, so examples such as this are seldom seen. Also, many spheres that are claimed to be natural crystal are in fact made from glass. Flawless crystal spheres are also used as an important symbol in the Dzogchen teachings. A Dzogchen master may also use a crystal sphere for his or her direct introduction to the nature of mind.

Completely natural and untreated clear rock crystal (not glass, led crystal, 'fused quartz', pressed quartz, 'Asian Quartz' or 'Chinese Quartz' which are in fact all made from glass despite what the seller claims).

Aquired as part of an old British collection.
comes complete with a small green nephrite jade stand

Rare Strand of Banded Agate beads - 20 beads
Rare Strand of Banded Agate beads - 20 beads
Our Price: £800.00

A fine looking strand of banded agate beads that closely resemble ancient Indo-Tibetan agates. In fact these beads continue to be mistaken for ancient beads. They were soon to disappear from the marketplace around 10 years ago because they became very sought after and it seems that only a small amount were made. This is the first strand of these beads we have seen for sale in many years and at one point they were selling online for as much as $300 for a single bead.

RARE JADE MILAREPA CARVING - 5 inches
RARE JADE MILAREPA CARVING - 5 inches
Our Price: £550.00

A rare green nephrite jade Milarepa seated within a rocky outcrop or cave. This is a hand carved one off piece that you will not find in any other store. Stone statues of Tibetan deities and lineage gurus are particularly hard to source. The jade material was sourced in Canada and then shipped to Thailand where it was carved by a master stone carver. It is also carved from the same material as the world famous 9ft Jade Buddha for Universal Peace.

Milarepa was famous for his spontaneous songs of realisation. During his 12 years of strict retreat he subsisted on nettle tea and eventually it turned his skin green, hence the reason he is often depicted as being green in colour. Crafting his image from green jade is therefore particularly appropriate.

A delightful deep green nephrite jade boar or pig. There is a small suspension hole in the tail and mouth to allow it to be strung. The pig is one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. An old Chinese custom was to have young male children wear hats and shoes in the shape of a pig. Chinese parents believed this would avoid misfortune since the evil spirits would be tricked into thinking the child was actually a pig. The dead were also buried with jade pigs placed in their hands to create the causes for a wealthy rebirth.
